Getting started
Upload documents
What SettlHQ accepts, what to send, and how uploading kicks off processing.
Upload from the case page, or from the Documents tab within a case. Drag files onto the drop zone or click it to browse. You can drop a whole batch at once.
What you can upload
- PDF — including scanned records, which are read with OCR
- DOCX
- TIFF, JPEG, and PNG images
- Plain text
- Up to 50MB per file
What to send
Send the whole file. SettlHQ classifies each document itself, so there's no need to sort or label anything first.
- Medical records — hospital and ER records, office notes, PT notes, radiology, operative reports
- Billing records and itemised statements
- Police and incident reports
- IME reports
- Adjuster correspondence, declarations pages, coverage letters, reservation of rights
- Letters of representation and lien notices
Complete billing records matter more than most people expect. The expense summary can only total what it has been given, so a missing itemised statement shows up as a missing provider.
What happens next
Processing starts automatically as soon as a file finishes uploading. You don't need to press anything, and you can keep adding documents while earlier ones are still being read.
