Where your data lives

How case files are stored, who can see them, and how to get them deleted.

Case files are your firm's confidential information and SettlHQ handles them on your instructions. This is the short version; the Privacy Policy is the full one.

Access

• Cases are isolated to your firm at the database level. No other firm can reach them.
• Documents are served through short-lived signed links rather than public URLs.
• Traffic is encrypted in transit.
• Uploads, views, edits, and exports are recorded in an audit trail with user, timestamp, and IP.
• Personal information is scrubbed from system logs.

Third parties

A small number of providers process data to make the service work: hosting, text recognition, and the AI analysis itself. Each one is listed publicly, with what it receives and where. Your content is not used to train generalized AI models.

Deleting things

Delete individual documents and cases from the app whenever you like. To delete your firm's account and everything in it, email support@settlhq.com; verified requests are completed within 30 days, apart from copies in encrypted backups that expire on their own schedule.
