Working a case
Check the case profile
The facts SettlHQ extracted about the matter, and how to correct them before drafting.
The case profile is the set of facts pulled out of your documents: plaintiff and defendant, carrier, adjuster, policy limits, statute of limitations date, liens and coverage positions. It's what the demand letter draws on, so it's worth a minute of your time before you generate.
Where each fact came from
Each field shows its origin: confirmed from a document, imported from Clio, or entered by hand. Fields taken from documents link to the page they were read from, so you can check any value that looks off.
Confirming and correcting
Accept a suggested value with Confirm, or type over it to correct it. If you change your mind, revert to the suggested value. Confirmed and corrected values are what the letter uses.
When two documents give different values for the same thing, say two different policy limits, the profile tells you instead of quietly picking one. Those are the fields to look at first.
